To be a successful board member, one must be able to help create a district wide climate and culture that will benefit the community and all of its constituents.

With my educational background and expertise, I believe that I can be an integral part of creating a district that nurtures the growth of all students’ unique and special gifts by fostering academic success and independence.

  • Advocating for Students, Parents and Teachers
  • Oversee categorical funds from the state and federal government with the intention to support student achievement
  • Provide a rigorous and engaging education to all students to lead them to college/career and life readiness.

I have been fortunate to have spent many years within the school system as an Elementary Teacher, Title 1 Resource Teacher, Title 1 Instructional Specialist and Assistant Principal in Orange County, California. I was appointed, by the California State Board of Education, to serve as an Instructional Material Reviewer to evaluate instructional materials for the 2015 English Language Arts/English Language Development Adoption. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Chapman University and Master of Education, Educational Leadership, degree from Concordia University.

I have two children currently in the Bend La Pine School District.  I firmly believe that the positive influence we have on our children today, will have a strong effect on the future for all of us. I hope to be an integral part of creating a district that nurtures the growth of all students’ unique and special gifts by fostering academic success and independence. This can be accomplished by my ability to serve as an effective Board Member. I have great respect for the education profession and aspire as a Board Member to help create a district wide climate and culture that will benefit the community and all of its constituents: students, parents, and teachers.

I am eager to use my expertise and enthusiasm to serve students, parents, and staff within Bend-La Pine School District. Together we can achieve a positive learning environment for all students to be prepared for their futures.
